The Wyvern Troop Transport [2] is an eight-rotor heavy transport aircraft used by the RDA for deploying either troops or AMPs into hostile territory. It is the RDA's second largest aircraft alongside the venerable Dragon Assault Ship.

Crew[]
The Wyvern is crewed by a pilot and a co-pilot who sit in a tandem cockpit with a "double bubble" canopy. The pilot is in charge of flying the aircraft, while the co-pilot is in charge of operating the aircraft's systems and weapons. Both cockpits have a series of holographic wraparound displays alongside a standard manual flight control system. It is also capable of carrying up to four AMP Suits or Combat Exos that can deploy from the craft via rappelling.
Weapons/Armament[]
The Wyvern may be less armed than the Dragon as it sports four Hornet Missile pods mounted on two mini stub-wing pylons on front of the aircraft and sixteen wing tip missiles[3], similar to the Scorpion Gunship, as well as a GAU 33-K Stub Wing Gun. It can also have door-mounted machine guns for extra defense.
Propulsion and Capabilities[]
Compared to the Dragon, the Wyvern sports a four quad-rotor coaxial ducted-fan tiltrotor system rather than four ducted fans, similar to those found on the Seawasp, which are mounted in pairs of four on the craft, along with two turbine engines that gives maximum forward propulsion without heavy pitch of the rotors. The Wyvern is less armored than the Dragon. It also has doors that slide open for AMP or troop deployment similar to those found on the SA-2 Samson and the Kestrel Gunship.
